Koffee, born Mikayla Simpson, was raised by her mother, Jo-Anne Williams, known affectionately as ‘Koffee maker.’ Koffee is the youngest person and only woman to be awarded a Grammy in the Best Reggae Album category.

Koffee was born in Spanish Town and is the ‘wash belly’ of five children (three boys and two girls).
